On Monday, August 21, 2017, students and staff from Alexander Elementary School wore their special “eclipse glasses” to observed the partial solar eclipse! The heavy cloud cover didn’t stop the amazing views that astonished all who attended. A special thanks to the Navy volunteers and District 187 administrators who helped Alexander students with their special glasses.
The last total solar eclipse was June 8, 1918… it crossed the United States from Washington State to Florida. If you missed this solar eclipse, you won’t have to wait an entire century… the next one is in just seven years, on April 8, 2024. Order your glasses now!
